South Africa's Mandela Celebrates Party's 100th

JOHANNESBURG (AP) — Nelson Mandela's African National Congress brought its centenary celebrations to his home village in rural eastern South Africa Wednesday.

State television released images of a delegation led by the governing party's national chairperson, Baleka Mbete, visiting the anti-apartheid icon's Qunu home with a barrel-sized replica of the torch lit during the party's 100th anniversary celebrations earlier this year. Mandela, surrounded by grandchildren and his wife, spoke briefly as he sat in an armchair, telling Mbete he was happy to see her.

Mbete joked that she wasn't sure what was warming her more, being near Mandela or being near the lit torch. She added that he should enjoy his retirement, but "we want you to know that we miss you all the time."

Mandela, who makes few public appearances, arrived in Qunu on Tuesday from Johannesburg, where he also has a home. Next month is his 94th birthday, and he often celebrates birthdays in the village where he grew up.

In February, Mandela was hospitalized in Johannesburg for a test to determine the cause of an undisclosed stomach ailment.

The Nobel peace laureate spent 27 years in prison for fighting racist rule. He became South Africa's first black president in 1994 and served one five-year term.

Pika mpaka tui la nazi litakapoiva na rojo ibakie kidogo sana, kisha ipua na mboga yako itakuwa tayari kwa kuliwa. Mimi huwa napenda kuila na wali ila hata na ugali au chapati inaenda pia.

MTOTO wa siku moja mnamo Mei 24, mwaka huu ameokotwa katika makaburi ya Vingunguti, Wilaya ya Ilala jijini Dar es Salaam akiwa ndani ya mfuko wa rambo.

Taarifa zilizopatikana katika eneo la tukio zilidai kuwa, mtoto huyo alisikika akilia na wasamaria ambao siku hiyo usiku walienda na kumkuta akiwa katika mfuko mweusi huku mbwa wakimnyemelea.

Mtoto huyo wa kike baada ya kuokolewa na wasamaria wema alipelekwa kwenye kituo cha afya kiitwacho Afya Bora ambapo wafanyakazi wake, Catherine Shayo na Magreth Masanja walimpa huduma ya kwanza kisha wakatoa taarifa Kituo cha Polisi Buguruni na kupewa kumbukumbu namba BUG /RB/6238/2012.

Baadaye mtoto huyo mchanga alipelekwa katika Hospitali ya Amana na PC Nel.

Uchunguzi unaonesha kwamba, maeneo ya Buguruni na Vingunguti yanaongoza kwa utupaji watoto ambapo Aprili 27 na Mei 4, mwaka huu watoto wawili waliokotwa mmoja akiwa amefariki.

The small white vehicle was heading town direction when it had a tyre burst and went to the other lane hitting a DCM (daladala) with passengers in it. The third black vehicle (Toyota Klugger) was hit by the DCM on the behind making it spin and hit again on the front. The small white vehicle was carrying chicken heading to the market. People got all the chicken from the vehicle and began killing them instantly possibly for their lunch or dinner.

AFFIRM YOUR WIFE...

There is a theory that husbands receive their self-esteem from their vocation and wives receive their self-esteem from their husbands. Whether this is true or not, words of affirmation will be appreciated by your wife.

Affirming words should be specific. Tell her how you like her hairstyle, new shoes or dress. Remember, she needs your approval and affirmation. Tell her what specific qualities that you like about her personality. Let her know what you appreciate about her.

Words of affirmation include telling your wife that she is special to you. She is that one special person in your life. Reassure her of your love day after day. Don't allow it to be the same words in a ritual fashion. Make sure that she knows it comes from your heart.

Affirming words should often come unexpectedly. A phone call, note or letter, with words of affirmation should often be a surprise. It's meaningful because it is unexpected. It's her constant needed reminder that she is that significant person in your life.
