I used to say: “They can put a man on the moon but they can’t make lip balm that will keep your lips smooth all day.” Have you noticed that two hours or so after putting on lip balm, the lips are either dry again or the lips are soft but have begun cracking or peeling?
Almond and e-vitamin are the things you should look for in great lip balms. They have a long-term, healing effect.
Another kind of balm that works better than 90% of all lip balm brands out there are the ones containing Aloe vera. Aloe vera is a natural treatment that heals the skin and helps against cracked lips, blisters and wounds.
My favorite lip balm brand is Savex (google it). It has a slight taste of peppermint which gives you a fresh feeling. I've never before come across a lip balm with a long term healing effect and that won't wear off after a couple of hours. Great!
Constance Caroll roll on lip sheen is pretty good too. It helps against chapped lips and the best thing is that it won't give you that "sticky" feeling. As a bonus it leaves your lips shining and can be used on top of regular lipstick.
