This is also known as fish in coconut sauce. This recipe has been given by Zaynista El Mazruella a big thank you to her. Enjoy making this wonderful dish.
Ingredients:
ish (tafi/changu… Any fish can do)
coconut (1st extraction milk/tui zito)
2 big tomatoes
1 tsp curry powder
2 onions
1 carrot
1 tsp turmeric powder (manjano)
3-6pcs green chilli (pilipili mbichi)
tamarind water(maji ya ukwaju)
1tsp tomato paste
salt
METHOD.
Fry/smoke/grill the fish
In a blender blend tomatoes, onions, carrots, green chilies & tamarind water(put ukwaju (imli) and use the tamarind water 2 blend)
Put the blended mixture in a sufuria (pan) and add curry powder,turmeric powder,tomato paste and salt.
Add the thick coconut milk to the mixture and let it boil until it becomes thick. Make sure to stir slowly at all times,
Your mixture is now ready to be applied on the fish.
