Stages Toward Marriage ...

Research has indicated that there are five stages in a relationship leading to marriage. A healthy courtship can be a good preview of a happy and fulfilling marital relationship. The courtship needs between 12 months and two years to move through the stages. A relationship that moves too quickly toward marriage may pass over one or more stages of bonding.



Attraction. Most often, a man is attracted to a woman through her appearance. Also, he needs to feel that she needs him. The case may be quite different for a woman. She needs to feel comfortable with him. She feels that she can talk to him and he understands her.


The attraction needs to be tested over time through a variety of circumstances in life. Unfortunately, some couples go from attraction to engagement without the experience of three more important stages. Maybe a couple believes their relationship is "love at first sight." The danger is projecting on the other person, who we want them to be, rather than who they really are.


Doubt. This is a normal part of a good relationship. Better to doubt before the marriage than after. A relationship needs to be tested. Doubt should not cause panic. Doubt does not mean that true love is absent. Doubt asks a very important question: Is this the person I want to live with for a lifetime?


When one person in a relationship has doubts, the other person may panic, feeling rejection. This is not always really the case. The person who doubts the relationship may be taking it seriously but needs to be sure. Most bonds of true love are sincerely doubted at some point. Being vulnerable to another person in a genuine, loving relationship can be uncomfortable at times. This can cause doubt.


Exclusiveness. This is a time when both persons agree not to date others. Jealousy could become an issue at this stage. However, when both persons agree that they don't want to date others, the relationship has moved into the third stage.


Jealousy may be healthy or unhealthy. Exclusiveness involves trust, loyalty, and faithfulness. Anything that threatens this type of relationship will cause a healthy jealousy. However, unhealthy jealousy tries to control the other person. This type of jealousy comes from low self-esteem, insecurity, or fear of losing the relationship.


Intimacy. The couple becomes more transparent in conversations. An emotional bond is developing. It becomes a heart-to-heart relationship, sharing innermost thoughts, desires, and emotions. They really know each other and feel safe to be themselves.


Intimacy requires a willingness to be vulnerable to the other person. Being vulnerable means that we know that the other person could hurt us. Therefore, intimacy requires trust. He becomes her "safe place." His heart safely trusts in her. This is the bond that assures a satisfying relationship.


Engagement. The couple announces their intention to be married. It is an adjustment stage within family relationships. There is a need for family acceptance and approval. Two persons are preparing to marry each other, but remember, they are also marrying into each other's family. New relationships are being formed with other members of both families of origin. It takes time to develop those relationships.

Contrary to what men believe, only God can forgive the sins that have been committed against Him. Joseph Smith nor Brigham Young can forgive sins. Catholic priests cannot forgive sins. Lutheran Ministers cannot forgive sins. There are no men dead or alive who can forgive the sins that men commit against God.


ONLY GOD FORGIVES SINS!

Only God pardons iniquity. Joesph Smith, Brigham Young, Catholic priests, nor Lutheran ministers have the authority to pardon iniquity.

Mankind has rebelled against God and He alone can grant forgiveness.


THE SCRIBES UNDERSTOOD ONLY GOD COULD FORGIVE SINS!


Mark 2:6-11 ..the scribes..7..He is blaspheming; who can forgive sins but God alone?".......10 But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins"---He said to the paralytic, 11 I say to you , get up, pick up your pallet and go home."


The problem with the scribes was they did did not realize that Jesus was God in the flesh. Joesph Smith, Brigham Young, Catholic priests, Lutheran ministers, nor any other man, was, or is God in the flesh.


DID JESUS GRANT THE APOSTLES THE AUTHORITY TO FORGIVE SINS? NO HE DID NOT!


Acts 8:18-22....20 But Peter said to him.....22 Therefore repent of this wickedness of yours, and pray the Lord that, if possible, the intention of your heart may be forgiven you.


The apostle Peter did not grant forgiveness to Simon, he told Simon to pray to God for forgiveness. NOTE: Simon was already a Christian.


THE PROOF TEXT.
John 20:19-23....23 If you forgive the sins of any, their sins have been forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they have been retained."


Jesus was not giving Peter and the rest of the apostle the power to grant forgiveness of the sins to men on an individual basis, Jesus was not ordaining them as priests with that power. Jesus was giving Peter and the apostle the authority to proclaim the terms for forgiveness of sins. Peter and the apostles did just that on the Day of Pentecost. Acts 2:22-38......36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know for certain that God has made Him both Lord and Christ---this Jesus whom you crucified."37....Peter and the rest of the apostles.....38 Peter said to them, "Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.


Peter and the apostles did "not" forgive sins on the Day of Pentecost or any subsequent day. They declared the terms for pardon:FAITH (John 3:16) REPENTANCE (Acts 2:38) CONFESSION (Romans 10:9-10) WATER BAPTISM (Acts 2:38, 1 Peter 3:20-21)


CHRISTIANS ARE NOT ASKED TO CONFESS TO JOESPH SMITH, BRIGHAM YOUNG, CATHOLIC PRIESTS, LUTHERAN MINISTERS NOR ANY OTHER MEN IN ORDER TO HAVE THEIR SINS AGAINST GOD FORGIVEN!


Christians are to confess their sins to God in order to receive forgiveness.( 1 John 1:5-9 ...God is light...9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from unrighteousness.) NOTE: Confessing sins and asking God for forgiveness is only available to Christians. Non-Christians must have FAITH, REPENT, CONFESS JESUS AS LORD, AND BE BAPTIZED IN WATER IN ORDER TO HAVE THEIR SINS FORGIVEN.

Man Marries Dead Girlfriend ... Till death do them part!

Chadil Deffy, a 28year old TV personality has married his dead girlfriend in a bizarre wedding ceremony that also acted as a funeral for the young bride. Saaaaaaaaad story......

During the ceremony, the 28-year-old groom, wearing a black tuxedo, placed a ring on the finger of his late girlfriend, Sarinya “Anne” Kamsook, a girl he had been dating for 10 years. In what some might consider a publicity stunt, He put photos of himself and his dead bride on his Facebook page under an album titled “Corpse Bride.” He also uploaded a video to YouTube. The couple met while studying at Eastern Asia University 10 years ago and had planned to get married for a while but Kamsook died in a car accident on 3rd of January.

A friend of Deffy, Onsiri Pravattiyagul, wrote in an opinion column this week in The Bangkok Post:

The “wedding” was his attempt to right a wrong, however belated the gesture might have been. As expected, the initial public reaction was an outpouring of sympathy for the “groom” and a wave of sentimental remarks. The romantically inclined were moved by this expression of “true love,” however unconventional. It seemed to hit a nerve with many people. The offline media picked up on the buzz, too, and went to town with the story. Chadil found himself under a spotlight, experiencing an unexpected 15 minutes of fame.

Honestly my warm regards goes to the groom but then again its absurd or what do you think?

Hair coloring that will make you shine

Blondes and redheads tend to stand out a lot more than brunettes and even more than those with black hair.

If you feel that you’re not the kind of person who gets other people’s attention, it could be something with you hair. Think about it, if you had pink or green hair people would look your way almost automatically... but they probably wouldn’t think it looked good. There are other colors that catch the eye more easily than others and that look good. A great tip is to buy yourself a wig or two and try out different hair colors (and hair styles) before you decide to color your hair (or you could tint it). For instance, if you bleach, there's no turning back (or you will end up with frizzy hair).

Blonde hair draws attention more easily and goes hand in hand with the beauty ideal of today. But not all look good in blonde hair. However don’t despair, there are other colors that can really improve your looks. A guideline is to try not to choose a hair color darker than your eyebrows unless you're ready to color your eyebrows as well.

There are three different kinds of hair color: Hair dye, semi-permanent hair dye and permanent hair color. Since this section is dedicated to actual coloring, let's talk about that from now on and save the hair dye for the hair dying section.

Bleaching the hair

I bet Jessica Alba bleached her hair a couple of steps. She added hightlights as well. Her hair still remains soft and natural looking. Looks great

 Bleaching the hair only a few steps can actually look more natural than your regular hair color! Also, variety is the spice of life, right?

Only a few years ago you had to completely bleach your hair with strong peroxides to even get a slightly lighter hair color. Nowadays there are regular hair coloring with semi-bleaching properties that will just bleach your hair two or three nuances. They're better for the hair too - regular bleaching often made your hair frizzy but this is no different from regular hair coloring. Be sure to use the conditioner that comes with the hair coloring set.

When there's an outgrowth a tip is to use a slightly different, but still close to the color originally used, hair color to color the outgrowth and make some highlights using the same bottle on the rest of the hair while you're at it.

Remember though: Hair that has been colored can't be bleached to the same extent. Some people leave the outgrowth for a cool effect.

IN THE KITCHEN - FISH IN COCONUT SAUCE(Samaki wa Kupaka)

This is also known as fish in coconut sauce. This recipe has been given by Zaynista El Mazruella a big thank you to her. Enjoy making this wonderful dish.

Ingredients:

ish (tafi/changu… Any fish can do)

coconut (1st extraction milk/tui zito)

2 big tomatoes

1 tsp curry powder

2 onions

1 carrot

1 tsp turmeric powder (manjano)

3-6pcs green chilli (pilipili mbichi)

tamarind water(maji ya ukwaju)

1tsp tomato paste

salt

METHOD.

Fry/smoke/grill the fish

In a blender blend tomatoes, onions, carrots, green chilies & tamarind water(put ukwaju (imli) and use the tamarind water 2 blend)

Put the blended mixture in a sufuria (pan) and add curry powder,turmeric powder,tomato paste and salt.

Add the thick coconut milk to the mixture and let it boil until it becomes thick. Make sure to stir slowly at all times,

Your mixture is now ready to be applied on the fish.

Serve and bon appetite!

Parenting Preschoolers

Learning to parent preschoolers is a moving picture. That is to say, parents must understand their preschoolers in order to be effective parents. In the three stages of the preschool years, there are changing developmental tasks. It is important for parents to know the task their preschooler is trying to accomplish. Failure to do so causes misunderstanding on the parent's part, resulting in arrested development on the child's part.

Erik Erikson, a world renowned psychiatrist, studied behavior patterns from preschool years through senior years, discovering different developmental tasks at different ages in life. His work is widely recognized in understanding human behavior patterns.

Birth to 18 Months

The main issue in the developmental task is trust. The relationship between the child and the mother is primary. The infant is dependent on another person for all the needs of life. To cry is a call for help from a helpless child. Trust is developed through reassuring experiences that the mother will respond.

18 Months to 3 Years

The main issue at this age is autonomy and independence within the child's environment. The child is attempting to gain self-control and a measure of independence versus doubt and shame. Parents need to understand the task of this stage in the development of a preschooler. This includes what some call "the terrible two's." They are really not so terrible when the parent understands the child's developmental task. The parent's misunderstanding may hinder the child from accomplishing the task. As a result, this may lead to doubt and even shame.

3 to 6 Years

This is the time in a preschooler's life to find purpose in the ability to initiate activities. Parents should not misinterpret the initiative of the child as disobedience. To the contrary, let the parent encourage the child to complete the task of initiating activity to discover purpose. The failure to do so will lead to guilt.

Spiritual Development

Notice the words used in the child's developmental tasks. They include trust, mistrust, independence, shame and doubt, as well as initiative, purpose and guilt. All of these subjects are spiritual issues. Parents have the opportunity to assist in the child's spiritual development in these formative years. Let the parents pray for the child to develop in God's love. Also, the parents should pray for themselves, that God will give them understanding. Parents bring God's love to the child as they help preschoolers complete developmental tasks.

May God help us all parents to raise our kids in a good way which pleases God.

IN THE KITCHEN - Chow Mein (Chinese Noodles)

A most eaten dish for all Chinese restaurant owners, this is one of the famous dishes that people usually order. Now you can make this exclusive dish at home, its very simple check out the recipe below:

Ingredients:

250grams steamed chow mein (Chinese noodles)

60grams pork (cut into thin slices)

5 shrimp (shelled and deveined)

3 garlic cloves (finely chopped)

1/2 cup shredded cabbage

1/4 cup shredded carrot

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon oyster sauce

1/2 teaspoon sugar

1/2 teaspoon Chinese dark soy sauce

2 tablespoons water

2 tablespoons cooking oil

2 stalks scallions (cut into 2-inch length)

Salt to taste

Method:

1.Soak the steamed chow mein in cold water for about 5 minutes. Rinse a few times until the water turns clear and the chow mein is soft. Drain the excess water and set aside. (Don’t over soak the chow mein or the noodles will get limpy and soggy.)

2.In a small mixing bowl, mix all the seasoning ingredients. Set aside.

3.Heat up the wok with the cooking oil. Add in the chopped garlic and stir-fry until light brown or aromatic. Add the pork and shrimp and stir fry until they are half done.

4.Add the shredded cabbage and carrot into the wok and do a few quick stirs. Add the noodles , the seasoning mixture and the water. Continue to stir until the noodles are well blended with the seasonings and completely cooked through.

5.Add the chopped scallions, do a few final stirs, dish out and and serve hot.

Can we just say that when we heard the name G-string wedding dress, we weren't actually expecting an actual g-string but like maybe a dress that played on the word "g-string" or something like that. So you can imagine our shock when we saw the article with pictures to go with it and realised the "g-string dress" is just what it's name implies - a g-string.

So let's save our shock for later and spill all about the "dress". According to The Daily Mail:

The revealing wedding outfit - one can hardly call it a dress - was shown by fashion brand Kaviar Gauche at Berlin fashion week yesterday. Judging by its risqué nature, this is one wedding outfit bound for a beach ceremony - or more likely, confined to the privacy of the wedding night.

The mind-boggling garment looks to be made up of a few diminutive sections of fabric joined together with a central strip. The ensemble slips over a barely-there thong bikini brief, and the whole outfit is shrouded in a diaphanous veil.

The German designers behind the dress, Alexandra Fischer-Röhler and Johanna Kühl, have been putting on headline-grabbing shows since founding label Kaviar Gauche in 2003, making waves in previous seasons for similar stunts.

To showcase their 2009/10 handbag collection, the design duo sent models down the catwalk practically nude but for strategically placed accessories.

Never either conservative or traditional, they are known as the mavericks of the bridal design world.
To brand followers then, this latest show will come as no surprise.
